With the 1s having the weekend off the 2s entertained Frindsbury and having won the toss put the visitors into bat. Opening bowler Ethan Collier (4 for 25) picked up early wickets supported well by Adam Rayner (1 for 22) and Joe Mills (1 for 24) as the visitors slumped to 65 for 5. The middle order rallied but fine bowling from Glenn Kennett (up hill !!) taking 3 for 11 as well as openers Ethan and William Cosstick (1 for 30) returning to pick up one a piece Frindsbury found themselves all out for 129 in the final over.
Wickets also fell early in the second half but knocks from John Heatley (22), Chris Knope (21) and Joe Mills (29) looked like the team would edge the win but unfortunately it was not to be as the team fell 21 runs short.
However, after a league investigation it was found Frindsbury were found to have fielded an illegal player and under Rule 17.18 the match was awarded the win
The 3s travelled to Cowdrey and were put into the field. Ollier Julier (1 for 37) picked up a wicket in the second over but their opener and number three got them setled and moved the score forward. George Ward took a superb catch to remove their number 3 off Caleb Deveson (1 for 32). Despite Nilesh Rajgor brace (2 for 38) and two run outs the home team continued to scrore reaching 204 for 6 at the close of their innings.
After tea the team also lost an early wicket but a good stand from Chris Wood (48no) and Yuvraj Rajgor (19) kept the board ticking over. Unfortuantely after Yuvraj was given out LBW wickets tumbled with only Ben Gunner (15) making double figures as the 3s found themselves bowled out for 110 in the 34th over.
There was no Sunday XI game this weekend
