Bapchild Cricket Club
Safeguarding Information for Young People
Below you will see some information below about what Bapchild Cricket Club does to provide you with a fun and safe environment to enjoy the game. You will see what support is available to you from your club, as well as some useful links and helplines which you may find appropriate for you.
As a game Bapchild Cricket Club want to ensure your views are listened to and actions are taken on those views. It is important that you share with your club’s committee what you feel about the game and what they can do to make you feel safe and get you to continue to enjoy the game.
If you are upset or worried about something, you should talk to an adult you trust.
Remember, that if you have a concern about yourself or another young person, you can report it to your coach. You can also report it to the Club’s Safeguarding Officer or Deputy Safeguarding Officer, they will often be around when you are playing or training. If you are not sure who they are you will find a photograph of them, as well as their contact details on the safeguarding board in the Club.
If in doubt who to speak to, use the ‘How to share a concern’ page on the ECB website that talks you through who to contact.
Bapchild Cricket Club will treat every concern as serious and will deal with them in a calm and respectful manner. We understand how difficult it can be to share concerns and we will always follow the ECB’s Safehands Policy and our club safeguarding policy when we talk to you.
