Nathan first on the Honours Board


Nathan Glazier hit a fine 70 on the first league weekend of the season (5th May)

The 3rd XI travelled to Rumwood for their opening game of the league season and were put into bat by the home team.  Nathan opened the batting and supported by Steve Pumfrett (26) and Christian Roberts (23) meant the team put on 186 for 6 in their allotted 40 overs

After tea Daniel Gunner (2 for 13) picked up an early wicket with good support from Ethan Collier.  Tony Hadfield (1 for 34) and Anthony Burbury (1 for 35) picked up one a piece and Steve Pumfrett’s superb 3 for 14 off 7 meant the home team were struggling.  Two run outs completed the game as Rumwood was all out for 126 in the 39th over.

The 2nd XI travelled to Addington and put the home team into bat.  The team bowled well as a unit with Adam Watson (2 for 17 off 10), Glenn Kennett (2 for 24 off 10), Lee Cogger (1 for 13 off 10), William Cosstick (1 for 17 off 6), Nick Page (0 for 18 off 6) and James Weller (1 for 15 off 4) meant Addington were kept to 107 for 7 off their allotted 46 overs

After tea the team knocked off the runs for 5 wickets in the 28th over with James Weller leading the scoring with 25 no

The 1st XI hosted Frindsbury who elected to bat putting on 188 for 6 in their 50 overs (Ashley Bax 2 for 22).  Unfortunately wickets fell regularly after tea with only Adam Larking (26) Ricky Dale (25) and Cameron Archbold (15) putting up any resistance as the team were bowled out for 90 in the 34th over
