Playing top of the table Sheldwich on the hottest day of the year was always going to be a big ask . With new juniors stepping up due to availability the U12 Broncos gave it a real good go chasing a large total batting.
Broncos captain Elliott Chapman had led by example bowling beautifully in his 3 over spell earlier and a superb catch at square leg by Harvey Rowe together with two run outs and some good fielding held the Sheldwich- in check
Some decent batting by Bapchild kept them in the hunt and Elliott Chapman tee’d off in the last over hitting 3 consecutive sixes but Bapchild fell short of their target at close of play.
That first elusive win this season is just around the corner
