U12 Friendly give new players opportunity

bcc-bg1

With Sheldwich forming a colts section this season and looking for matches Bapchild U12 travelled to their ground for a friendly as they had a free week in the league

Many changes were made and new players were given opportunity to experience hard ball cricket for the first time

Joshua Rose was elected Bapchild captain and losing the toss was invited to bat first

Some early batting wobbles against decent bowling left Bapchild struggling early doors but Joshua Rose and Jaiden Carolla with 10 runs each and Aaryan Rajgor 19 steadied to ship to a respectable score at close of innings

Harvey Rowe and Noah Jones kept wicket for 8 overs each doing a great job having never kept before.

Anjali Smith took 2 wickets and a great catch and young Marshall Lundie took his first wicket in hardball cricket

A great night was had by all with Sheldwich coming out victors on the night.
