U11 Inter Club Friendly a great success
Last Friday on a beautiful hot evening at Radfield Hill the U11’s met for the first inter club friendly game of the season
The “Connolly Crew” led by Jake Connolly were up against the “Fergie Firm” led by Fergie Conway. Fergie won the toss and decided to bat first and set a total for the “Crew” to chase
Fergie’s team reached a respectable 260 for 5 off their allotted 15 overs with some good batting from the skipper and was supported by good knocks from Jaconb Carter and Archie Covey
Jake’s team set off at a cracking rate scoring early runs with good knocks from Finlay Downs and Samuel Clark but unfortunately were short of the target finishing on 245 for 6 at the end of their innings
Sone great bowling displays with brother bowling at brother and sisters alike with the pick of the bowlers on the night being Archie Covey and Freddie Corner with two wickets apiece
Champagne moment went to young Daisy Conway who uprooted her brothers middle stump with the first ball of her spell
A great evening was had by the colts and parents alike and thanks to all who attended and took part or supported on the night
