All senior teams lost in low scoring matches last weekend.

The 1st XI were away in  double header with Frindsbury CC.  Putting the home team into bat Tyler Wassell (3 for 29) picked up an early wicket but the batting team built up a 78 run partnership for the 2nd wicket before Lee Cogger (3 for 43) and Ricky Dale (1 for 19) broke the partnership up. Wickets fell regularly after that and Frindsbury found themselves all out with just three balls left of their innings for 172.  The other wickets came from Ashley Bax (1 for 49) and Tom Carey (1 for 31) and run out from Dan Gunner.

Frindsbury were in amongst the wickets from the start and the team were all out for 72 in just over 25 overs.  Only Ricky Dale, Cameron Archbold and Chris Hogg making double figures

The 2nd XI at home were entertaining Frindsbury 2nd XI and Bapchild batted first.   All but 0ne of the first seven batsman reached double figures but none were able to kick on as the team found themselves all out for 127 in the 44th over. Simon Cosstick and Alan Hampton top scoring with 23.

The Sunday XI entertained Brooklands and was put into the field by the opposition. Archie Covey (3 for 25) picked up early wickets in a good opening spell.  Ricky Dale (3 for 15) also added the pressure on the visitors. Their number 9 proved hard to dislodge but wickets fell around him and Brooklands were bowled out for 142 in the 36th over.  Jacob Carter (1 for 18), Mitch Woollcott (1 for 18), Tom Carey (1 for 2)  and Brian Carey (1 for 3) sharing the other wickets.

Bapchild’s openers were picked off early.  Will Cosstick (16) and Jake Connolly (14), Ricky Dale (19), Ella Hadler (19) and Brian Carey (10) all contributed but in a similar story to the rest of the weekend no one managed to build on their good starts and the team were just 15 runs short of a win with 2.2 overs left when the last wicket fell
