Single Wicket last ball thriller
LAST BALL THRILLER !!
With the success of the last single wicket competition it was decided to run another one for the under 12 junior cricket.
So on at the end of August 10 players fought it out to be the overall winner on the night.
Same format as before players started on 50 runs and batted for 3 overs, losing 5 runs for any wicket conceded.
Scarlett Sears batted early and set a decent total of 71 runs for everyone to chase.
There was some good batting and Winston Roe with 65 runs came close to the total but was a few runs short in the end.
Last batsman Aaryan Rajgor batted superbly well as he always does and with 76 to his name and with only one ball to go all he needed to do was to protect his wicket and take the win on the night.
But he swept the ball to square leg and was duly caught thus leaving him tied on 71 with Scarlett.
