All three teams won their matches on the last day of the KCL league season.
The 1s travelled to Rainham and was put into bat on a damp pitch. Tom Carey (36) and James Weller (38) put on an opening stand of 57 and then James and Chris Knope (28) took the score to 101 before the second wicket fell. With a good platform built the team continued to score despite losing wickets and with 30 from Will Cosstick and 21 from Joe Mills the team reached 191 before being bowled out at the end of the 44th over.
Tyler Wassell (1 for 15) picked up the first wicket with the score on just 2. Haris Khan bowling from the other then removed the remaining top six batsman for just 38 runs leaving the home team on 61 for 7. Tom Carey (1 for 21) and Harry Mantle (2 for 16) moped up the tail as Rainham found themselves out on 92 in the 26th over. A 99 run win and securing 3rd place in the Division 5 Hurricane league – a fantastic achievement by all.
The 2s entertained Upchurch who were fighting to stay up. The visitors elected to bat and Adam Rayner picked up an early wicket but good batting took the opposition to 130 for 3 and going well. Toby Heather (1 for 19) removed the opener who was on 45 and Tom Gunner removed their number 4. But fine bowling from Jacob Carter (3 for 13) and Adam Rayner (4 for 24) who returned to the attack removed combined with a run out meant Upchurch last seven batsman only scored only 6 runs from the bat as they were bowled out for 141 in the 38th over.
Bapchild started well but everytime a partnership started to form a wicket fell and at 77 for 6 it looked a difficult ask for the team. However a mature and steady partnership formed between Yuvraj Rajgor (40 not out) and Lee Cogger (19 not out) who took the team over the line 6.4 overs to spare and a 4 wicket victory. The 2s ended their league campaign in a very respect 6th place in Division 8 Knott.
The 3s travelled to Sheppey where they elected to bat. Paul Surridge (41) supported by Will Surridge (13) and Caleb Deveson (13) built a platform but wickets started to fall. Linc Bryden (16 not out) got the team to 125 for before the team was all out in the 31st over.
Sheppey started strong but Ella Hadler (1 for 7) removed the opener on first change.
