Bapchild U12 Bees played Minster in the semi-final of their cup competition
Bees Captain, Dhylan Smith, lost the toss and Minster elected to bat. Bees bowled andfielded very well taking 4 wickets between 4 different bowlers. Emily Surridge was superb behind the stumps and Minster finished on 250 for 4 at the close of their innings.
The two Emilys, Cowan and Surridge, opened the batting for the Bees and the first shot of the night went through point for 4 runs off emily Surridge’s bat and the chase was on. Pairs kian Clements and Anjali Smith followed by Ollie Richardson and Leo Bassett all batted sensibly without getting out and picking singles and keeping the scoreboard ticking over without too much drama. Brother Adesh and Dhylan Smithcame to the crease with the bees on 242 and picked up a few runs taking the score to 259 with one over remaining. Dhylan took a single off the first ball and young Adesh played out the over out to pick up a great win for the Bees and put them into the final
