Under 11’s have a great night of cricket
With so many under 11 players this season it has been decided that every 3 to 4 weeks on a Friday evening to have a friendly match between the players to give them all a regular game.
And the second Friday in June was no exception when 21 of the lads and 1 lass turned up to Radfield Hill for the 3rd friendly match that has been proving so popular and good fun for all those involved.
Young Daniel Covey skippered one team and was ably assisted by vice captain Jake Connolly. The other team was skippered by Fergie Conway and supported by vice captain Zak Lewis.
Fergie team batted first reaching 226 after the allotted overs with some great batting and bowling from both sides
As Daniel’s team replied there was some tight bowling and an amazing catch by Zak Lewis before it all came down to the last over. Daniel and Jake both batting at the time tried their best but couldn’t quite make the target falling just 6 runs short and the close of the innings.
A fun evening for players and parents alike and the winner on the night was Bapchild Cricket Club
