Sunday XI miss out in Final
The Sunday Xi came off second best against an extremely strong Gore Court side.
On winning the toss the team elected to field and got off to a good start as Haris Khan bowled one of the openers. However Gore Court piled on the runs against the our young bowling attack with two of their batsman scoring hundreds before retiring as they reached 266 for 6. Haris Khan picked up 3 for 38 and Isaac Gregory-Bourne (1 for 33) the other wicket.
Gore Court kept up the pressure with their bowling attack and despite Tom Carey’s 50 (passing the 1000 run mark for the season) and Yuvraj Rajgor 31 the team found themselves all out for 125
The competition has been well received by the Club and many thanks to Norton Sports CC for organising and hosting the final. We look forward to entering the competition again next year.
