Weather wins Saturday but U14s win on Sunday
Unfortunately all three games were lost on Saturday to the weather
However unlike the Ashes Test cricket was played at Radfield Hill against Minster in an U14 League match
On winning the toss Bapchild elected to bat and after losing a couple of early wickets and the score 13 for 2 the pressure was on. Fine batting from Joshua Ingram (31 rtd) and Kian Clements (29) who put on a 47 run wicket partnership steadied the ship. Kian and Dhylan Smith (30) took the score past a hundred and Jay Sharma’s 14 helped the team reached 138 off their 20 overs.
Henry Louden picked up an early wicket but Minster looked menacing until Sophie Hogben swept through the middle order taking a hat-trick and ending up with 5 for 4. Henry Hinde (1 for 12) and Ethan Tollervey (1 for 7) also picked up wickets as Minster struggled to recover and finally finishing 25 runs short of the target at the end of their innings with 8 wickets down.
