1st XI chalk up consecutive wins


The 1st XI continued their winning ways when they played Dartfordians at home.  Put into bat the team lost an early wicket but skipper Ricky Dale coming in number 3 batted superbly reaching 94 before being caught out.  Ricky had been supported by Callum Leary (30), James Sutton (28) and Tom Carey (38) and the team reached 268 for 9 in 50 their overs.

Owen Harrison (2 for 26) picked up a wicket in the opening over and superb spells from 1st team debutant Harry Mantle (3 for 21 off 10) and Tyler Wassell (3 for 16 off 10) removed the top and middle order and the visitors reached 129 before being all out in the 40th over


The 2nd XI travelled to Ashford and was put into bat.  Wickets fell early but Dan Pumfrett (56) and Joe Mills (45) put the team back in the game but unfortunately the team could capitalise reaching only 180 for 9.

Wickets fell regularly with Adam Rayner (2 for 41) and Lee Cogger (2 for 19) bowling well but couldn’t get the important breakthrough to the tailed and the home team crossed the line with 8 balls and 4 wickets to spare


The 3XI travelled for local their derby against Faversham.   The home team elected to bat but Steve Pumfrett’s (3 for 46) removed the top order and good bowling from the rest of the attack including Graeme Corner (2 for 14) meant Faversham found themselves all out for 130

Simon Cosstick (61) and Nathan Glazier (48) saw the target off with out loss in just 20.2 overs


The Sunday XI played Smarden and electing to bat piled on the runs with Ricky Dale (84) and Tom Carey (76) both reach half century’s as the team reached 241 for 3 in 40 overs

Smarden opener put on 100 as they tried to reach the target but Nick Page (3 for 42) and Lincoln Bryden (3 for 24) who picked up the important wicket meant the visitors were 35 runs short at the close with 3 wickets remaining.
