Ricky Dale continued his rich vein of form by hitting fabulous 123 on Saturday and a further 76 on Sunday

The 1s entertained RACS at the weekend and decided to bat first.  Ricky’s knock combined will Michael Willis (37) and John Heatley (39 no) meant the team reached an impressive 264 for 8 off their 50 overs.

An early wicket put the pressure on but RACS rallied with a 105 and 71 run partnerships for the 2nd and 3rd wicket partnerships. Michael Willis (4 for 19)  joined the attack and struck with a three wickets in his second over. This broke the back of the visitors attack and were finally all out in the final over for 242.

A weakened 2nd XI travelled to Shooters Hill.  The team bowled well with Glenn Kennett picking up his third five wicket hall of the season (5 for 42) and supported by Owen Harrison (2 for 34) and Lincoln Bryden (2 for 52) kept the home team to 178 for 9 in their allotted overs

Simon Cosstick (50) hit his 6th half century of the season as the top order faltered.  Link Bryden (22), Glenn Kennett (22), William Cosstick (17) and Owen Harrison (11) all chipped in but they fell 34 after being bowled out for 144 in the 44th over.   Small mention to Mark Collier who wore one for the team with a ball to the face.  Unfortunately the  Plastic Surgeon decide to just stitch him up and not make any improvements !! Sorry Mark couldn’t resist. :)

The 3rd XI unfortunately had to concede their game

The Sunday XI continued the winning streak at the weekend against Harvel. Harvel elected to bat to bat and were restricted to 193 for 6 in their 40 overs with Nick Page (2 for 17) and Lee Taylor (2 for 38) picking up a brace of wickets each

Bapchild set a blistering pace scoring 113 off the first 15 overs with Steve Roberts (25) and Ricky Dale (76) scoring freely.   James Sutton (25),  Michael Willis (13) and Nick Page (17) all chipped in as the team knocked off the runs with 5 overs and 4 wickets to spare.
