Inter Club Tie
With no games for the under 12 Bees and Broncos due to half term it was decided to run an inter-club game at home on Thursday evening 30th May at Radfield Hill.
Daisy Conway and Oscar Sears were appointed captains and Oscar won the toss and decided to bat first. All pairs faced 6 overs each and batted sensibly throughout reaching a total of 310 for the loss of only 3 wickets.
Pick of the bowlers were Daisy Conway with 2 wickets and Tom Carey picking up the other wicket
Daisy’s team set about the run chase and were well on their way to win the game at half way stage. But a few wickets late on turned the game leaving young Sam Heather needing 4 to win off the last ball of the game.
A push to mid wicket and an overthrow later led to Sam and Franklin Smith scrambling through for 3 runs to tie the game on 310 for 4 wickets
Pick of the bowlers were Miles Burles, Ben Hooker, Will Surridge and Tom Carey with one wicket a piece.
A good night was had by all well done to all involved
