Great performance sees 2s win

The 2XI entertained Chislehurst & West Kent CC at the weekend and on arriving the visitors elected to bat.  Ben Wiebe-Williams (2 for 32 off 9 overs) and William Cosstick (1 for 10 off 6 overs) opened and bowled exceptionally well picking up three early wickets.  With the fielding at top level Daniel Covey (1 for 4 off 9 overs) and Lee Cogger (2 for 15 off 9 overs) carried on in the same vein and it took Ethan Collier just 5 overs to take the remaining 3 wickets for just 11 runs to finish Chislehurst’s innings with just 77 runs scored off 38 overs.

Simon Cosstick and Robert Kennett to sensibly to see off a very “up for it” Chislehurst opening bowling attack.  Allowing Nick Page (48 no) and Captain James Sutton (3 no) to see the team home with an emphatic 8 wicket win

The 1st XI did not have a match this week but it was great to see almost the whole team at the ground watching the 2nd XI match

The 3rd XI travelled to top of the table Leeds and Broomfield and was put into the field.  Colts Ollie Julier and Patrick Hogben opened the bowling and but the opening batsman looked settled.  It took a change of bowling to remove them with debutant Ovais Wadoo (2 for 28 off 9 overs) dismissing both of them.  Jacob Carter (2 for 33) and Ayaan Wadoo (1 for 35) picked up more wickets but a mid-order stand of 103 saw the home team reach 209 for 6 off their allotted overs.

A couple of early wickets put the team  under pressure but Patrick Hogben (36) and Tony Hadfield (32) put on a good stand.  Unfortunately wickets fell and apart for Ella Hadler (14) and Ovais (19 retired) runs became tough to get as the team found themselves bowled for 128 in the 33rd over.

The Sunday XI did not have a game this weekend
