PLAY CRICKET REMINDERS
KENT CRICKET LEAGUE
SUMMARY RESULT
This will be locked once the result has been loaded onto play-cricket and checked by the League
Administrator.
If you are live scoring, then please ensure that you update from “match in progress” at the
conclusion of the game.
Fines will be applied if not completed by the relevant deadline. Please refer to Playing Conditions
and the Play Cricket reminder document (Results & Scorecards).
It is critical that accurate information is recorded in this section, as this will determine points to be
allocated and subsequently the League Tables.
Do not guess at the number of wickets fallen, runs scored or how many overs have been bowled.
FACTS ONLY.
FULL SCORECARD
This will need to be completed before the deadline of 6pm on the Tuesday following the game.
Whilst the summary result may be locked, you can still edit the team sheets and the scorecards.
As per previous advice – please load teams in advance of the fixture. This will save time in
completing the full scorecard. You should also have the correct names recorded on the ECB Team
Sheets to assist.
Scorecards will be locked at the earliest opportunity after the completion of the matches.
If they are not locked by a Tuesday morning – then there is probably a mistake or information is
missing.
If you subsequently notice a mistake on the scorecard (and it is already locked) then please email me
directly, advising of the fixture date, the Division and the information that needs amending.
BONUS POINTS (TIER 1A, 1B & 2)
Please ensure that these are completed. Batting & Bowling points to the Losing Team only.
Full details for each Division are listed in the Playing Conditions.
BONUS POINTS (TIER 3, 4 & 5)
Please ensure that these are completed. Bowling bonus points and “margin of defeat” bonus points
for the Losing Team only.
Full details are listed in the Playing Conditions.
UNSURE PLAYERS
Please ensure that if you are struggling to find a name on play cricket that you select the option of
“All Players”. This will return a list of all those registered, which is more accurate than the squad
lists.
In the event of still being unable to find a player – then please add the information to the highlights
section. If this has already been locked, then please email me directly.
I will then raise this matter with the opposition and ask them to resolve.
UNSURE CATCHERS
Please make sure that “catchers” are recorded in the scorebook. It is the responsibility of the Home
Club to ensure that they have a full record of details before the opposition leave.
WICKET-KEEPER
Please make sure that “wicket keepers” are recorded in the scorebook. It is the responsibility of the
Home Club to ensure that they have a full record of details before the opposition leave.
Wicket-keepers (as per the Captain) need to be identified on the team sheet. This will help ensure
statistics are complete.
SCORECARD ERRORS
When inputting scorecards please ensure that they add up!
Play cricket gives you a warning message. Do not proceed – go back and resolve.
In most cases this can be done by simply amending the extras so that batting and bowling sections
both add up.
REQUEST TO UNLOCK RESULTS / SCORECARDS
This facility is not supported by the League.
If you wish to make further amendments after these have been locked – then please email me
directly, providing as much information as possible.
I will then review the request and either complete the amendments myself or in more complicated
or time consuming cases, I will “unlock” and ask the Club to amend.

reduce the risk of incorrect players being listed.
This will also act as a final check that players are registered for the League!
ECB Team Cards should be completed and left in the scorebook.
These will assist umpires / scorers and captains on the day.
This is mandatory for every game of organised cricket that is played. Please
