On a hot muggy evening at Radfield Hill Bapchild the U12 Broncos played Minster in their third league meeting of the season.
A chance for three Bapchild players to make their debuts in the league and Isaac Gregory-Bourne, Elliott Chapman and Marshall Lundie all stepped up to the plate and were superb team players on the night.
Bapchild lost the toss and were invited to bat first scoring at a steady rate in all their pairs .Harvey Rowe (11) and Henry Louden (16) batted well and captain Aaryan Rajgor hit a superb (34) in the last pair with an awesome display of batting to leave Bapchild 276 for 3 at close of their innings.
Minster took the game to Bapchild but the Broncos stuck to their task and fielded superbly well. With four overs to go and scores tied Bapchild knew wickets were a priority and upped their game to apply pressure. A quite brilliant catch at square leg by Harvey Rowe set the tone and a devastating over by Bapchild captain Aaryan Rajgor with a three wicket maiden meant Minster finished on 266 for 5 ten runs short of the Bapchild score.
Other pick of the Bapchild bowlers were Henry Louden with figures of three overs, one for eight.
A good nights cricket had by all and a superb win for a new and quite inexperienced Bapchild side.
