Glenn Kennett returned an impressive 6 for 13 to help set up a good win for the 2s over Offham at the weekend.

The 2s entertained Offham and the visitors on winning the toss elected to bat.  Owen Harrison (1 for 22) picked up an early wickets as Offham struggled against Shiv Patel who had just 13 runs off his 14 overs.  However, it was Glenn with a wonderful spell of 6 for 13 off 10.5 overs to remove the heart of the batting side.  No batsman scored double figures beyond No. 3 as Offham were bowled out for 98 in the 44th over

Off ham picked up one early wicket but a fine batting performance from Simon Cosstick (50 no) and James Sutton (36 no) meant the team reached their target with 9 wickets to spare in the 20th over.

The 1s travelled just up the road to Rainham and elected to bat.  A solid knock from Ricky Dale (61) supported well by Adam Larking (27) & Lee Taylor (19) set a great platform but Rainham pegged back the team in the back half of the innings.  The Chairman promoted to the 1s, which can only have been as a specialist fielder, managed a surprising 18 runs as the team reached 178 for 9 off their allotted overs.

The team looked well in the running with two early wickets but an 111 run 3rd wicket partnership took the game away as Rainham crossed the line with 7 wickets to spare

Rainham 3s conceded the game against Bapchild 3s

The Sunday XI travelled to 4th in the table Harbledown at the weekend and was put into the field.   A wonderful opening spell from Owen Harrison (1 for 12) set the standard who removed Harbledowm’s danger man.  Opening seamer Linc Bryden (3 for 20) also played his part picking the top order including a stunning catch from Captain Ricky Dale who running with the wind caught a skier over his right shoulder.  There were murmurs of the fielding award being reallocated but please people he is nearly 30 years younger and made it look hard than it was !! :)

Ricky joined in the wickets with two good catches from Will Cosstick.  Lee Taylor also picked a well judged catch (!) and Nick Page topped off a great fielding performance picking up the last three wickets including bouncing out one batsman (!!).  The home team found themselves bowled out for 79 in the 30th over.

Harbledown picked up one early wicket but solid knocks from James Weller (18), James Sutton (28) and Ricky Dale (30) saw the team win by seven wickets with 18 overs to spare
