Twos Pick up first win

The 2nd XI picked up their first win of the 2021 campaign with a good win against Orpington at the weekend.  The visitors elected to bat and got off to a good start until a run out from Nick Page and a wicket from Lee Cogger (1 for 21) made the creak through.  Linc Bryden (2 for 37), Adam Rayner (1 for 18) and Ashley Bax (1 for 35) all took wickets and Ben Wiebe-Williams returned for a second spell picking up 3 for 20.  A great effort saw Orpington all out for 179 in the 49th over.

Lee Taylor (52) and John Heatley (20) got the 2s off to a great start but after a few quick wickets it took Ben (27) and Linc (46 no) to steady the ship and with a 10 not out from Adam Rayner the team picked up their first win with 2 wickets and one over to spare

 

The 1s continued their unbeaten record in their visit to  Rodmersham. Electing to bat the team the team lost an early wicket but Matt Lewis (20), Ricky Dale (38), Tom Carey (22) and Calum Leary (27) all added to the score.  With Owen Harrison and Kesha Rajadurai chipping in with 34 and 10 respectively the team reached 185 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs.

Opening bowlers Owen Harrison (3 for 46) and Tyler Wassell (2 for 22) were once again in the wickets early on.  Another great spell from Kesha (4 for 15) supported by Harry Mantle (1 for 37) saw Rodmersham all out for 137 runs in the 37th over.

 

The 3rd Xi and Sunday XI did not have league games this week
