The 2nd XI and the Sunday XI both won important matches at the weekend.

The 1st XI travelled to Linton Park for their KCL Division 5 match and was put into the field by the home team.    Tyler Wassell (9 overs 3 for 27) struck twice early on but the top order recovered.  Joe Mills (2 for 43) got the breakthrough with two wickets and a run out and  William Cosstick (2 for 14) also picked up a brace as Linton Park reached 182 for 8 off their 45 overs.

Wickets fell regularly after the break with only four players reaching double figures (Tyler Wassell 36, Rob Kennett 24, Tom Carey 21 and William Cosstick 16) as the team found themselves all out in the 43rd over for 123.

The 2nd XI needing to win matches in their relegation battle were at home to St Lawerence and Highland Court CC.   Putting the visitors into bat Harris Khan (2 for 17 ) together with a run out by Ethan Collier put the pressure on early.  A fine spell by Lee Cogger (9 overs 3 for 14) and Daniel Covey (2 for 13) kept that pressure on and a run out by Adam Rayner left Ethan (1 for 21) to mop up the last wicket as the visitors found themselves all out for 140 in the 38th over.

The team in reply started well and after losing James Sutton leaving Simon Cosstick (64) and Ricky Dale (54 no) put the game beyond St. Lawerence reach as the 2s passed the finishing line in the 35th over with 7 wickets to spare and 20 valuable points.

After losing the toss and being put into the field,  Jay Sharma (1 for 30) broke the deadlock with one of his characteristic in swingers.  Change of bowler Tony Corollo (1 for 32)  had immediate effect when he dismissed the other opener then another quick wicket with Sophie Hogben (1 for 10) adding to her seasons tally. However The Mote rallied and as Sophie had do leave the field due to injury the score reached 212 for 4 at the end of the innings

In reply Chris Wood raced to a quick fire 39.   Yuvraj Rajgor (82 no) carried his bat scoring his maiden 50 for the Club ably supported by Tony Hadfield (26) , Tony Corrollo (17) and Ella (13). Yuvraj stepped on the gas smashing 25 off the last over but it was not enough as Bapchild fell 15 runs short.

The Sunday XI need a win to remove themselves from the relegation battle in their home game against King Royals.  Winning the toss Bapchild elected to bat and openers Tom Carey (50) and James Weller (76) got the team off to an excellent start and with Rob Kennett, Glenn Kennett and Yuvraj all chipping in the team reached 190 for 4 in their 40 overs.
