153 Not Out

Adam Larking continued his rich vein of form on Saturday scoring an impressive 153 not out

The 1st XI were home to Westgate and on winning the toss decided to bat.  Adam Larking opened the batting and looked in great form from the beginning.   It was a superb innings throughout and he produced a batting performance that was a pleasure to watch.  Support from Lee Taylor (30), Dylan Lee (35) and Michael Willis (37) meant the team were able to declare in the 47th over on 301 for 5

After tea Owen Harrison took over steaming in and picking up 3 early wickets.   Supported by Alan Hampton (2 for 47) and Tyler Wassell (2 for 25) Owen returned to mop up the tail and a deserved 5 for 65.  The opposition were all out in the 39th over for 158

 

The 2nd XI returned to winning ways while travelling to Bromley Town.  The home team elected to bat and found themselves out for 132 in the 40th over

The team reached the total in the 41st over for the loss of just 5 wickets

The 3rd XI was home to Rodmersham 2nd XI who elected to field.  Simon Cosstick (42) and Brian Carey (35) got the team off to a good start but only Anthony Burbury managed double figures after they were out and the 3rds found themselves all out for 116 in the 39th over

 

Ethan Collier (3 for 26), William Cosstick (1 for 23) and Tony Hadfield (1 for 39) picked up wickets but the visitors crossed the line in the 22nd over with 5 wicket remaining

 

The Sunday XI travelled to Sheldwich on a scorching hot day and were put in to the field by the opposition.  The heat played a role as the home team reached 313 for 2 in their allotted overs.

 

Ricky dale (43), James Sutton (29), Steve Roberts (27), Adam Larking (20) Tyler Wassell (19) and James Weller (15) all chipped in but no one was able to push on and the team found themselves 172 for 9 at the end of play
