Under 9's

Bapchild Badgers & Bapchild Bantams Saturday 12th of May will see the first round of U9 matches in Swale. This is a new innovation for Swale in 2007 and will provide a good introduction to the “pairs” format played in the U11 league and Kent Mini 8’s. Bapchild have two teams entered in the league. The Bapchild Badgers will play at home on the 12th of May. The team will be selected on Saturday 7th of May.  The Bapchild Bantams have a bye for the first two rounds and their first match will be at home on the 26th of May. Matches will start at 10:45 on a Saturday.  The fixtures are up on the club notice board. I will place a copy of the rules on the club notice board for those interested. A summary outline of the format: All members of the squad must be in Year 4 or below at primary school... Games are played on a 16 yard pitch with an Orange or Yellow wind ball... Teams consist of 8 players... Each player including the wicketkeeper must bowl 1 over... Each over consists of 4 balls... Each batting pair bats for two four ball.
