Both the 1s and 2s had tight games Saturday but both came out on top
The 1s were at home to 2nd in the table Whitstable CC 2nd XI. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat. Tyler Wassell (2 for 11) took an early wicket but the top order steadied themselves until Tom Carey (3 for 29) picked up two wickets through a Mike Willis stumping and a catch by Daniel Gunner. Dan Covey picked up a run out before coming on to bowl and taking 3 for 19. Joe Mills picked up one wicket (1 for 35) and Tyler Wassell returned to take the final wicket as Whitstable found themselves all out for 141 in the 39th over.
Whitstable picked up early wickets but James Weller (39) carried his bat through the innings and was supported by Mike Willis (27) and Joe Mills (37). It looked like the team would win comfortably but when 4 wickets fell for no runs it looked like the teams fortunes were not with them but with just one wicket remaining James nudged the team over the line to win the game in the 35th over.
The 2s travelled to top of the table Holcombe & Bluebell Hill and elected to field. Jake Mitchell (2 for 22) playing his first game of the season picked up the openers and Ethan Collier (1 for 33) removed the No. 3 as the home team reached 59 for 3. Haris Khan (3 for 30) and Jacob Carter (2 for 33) removed the middle order as H&BH struggled to 86 for 7. The home team rallied putting on an 83 8th wicket partnership before Jacob made the breakthrough and with a run out shortly afterwards meant the home team reached 169 for 9 from their 40 overs.
James Sutton (45) and Nick Page batted well together after an early wicket and steadied the ship but with the team needing 9 an overs towards the end of the innings it looked like the team were going to fall short of the target. However Tom Gunner (19) started smashing 6s around the ground and a 26 from Ethan Collier supported by Will Cosstick (10 no) the team won the match with 4 wickets and 3 balls to spare
The Mote conceded their game against the 3s

The team used 10 bowlers against the opposition batting line up as they tried to breakthrough but the visitors crossed the line with 7 wickets and 6.4 overs to spare. The wickets coming from Ella Hadler (1 for 7), Ollier Julier (1 for 18) and Jacob Carter (1 for 10)
