Indoor Cricket
The Indoor team began the season with high hopes of success following the decision to combine the 1st and 2nd teams into one forceful combination. However, a season of inconsistent performances followed which would evantually leave the 'Child trophyless for the third season in a row.

The batting was sound if unspectacular as Bapchild struggled to acquaint themselves with the vagaries of the particular format of cricket. Booming off drives followed with comments such as 'that would have flown for four outside' and smiles were often the case with the batting. The bowling suffered from a lack of ability to bowl straight for more than three deliveries in a row and thus meant we were fighting losing battles to contain teams.

However, towards the end of the season many of these aspects had come together and the boys were confident of success in the cup. Easy victories over Selling and Upchurch II's were followed by a crunch semi final with Upchurch 1's. A good all around performance resulted in a close victory with the fielding particulary sharp. Thus we were confident approaching the final with Sheldwich. However, a combination of poor batting, bowling and fielding meant that Bapchild were soundly beaten.

Throughout the season Matt Lincoln illustrated his class with bat and ball, even if he often looks as though he believes he is playing outdoors and that glue has been applied to his trainers. Matthew Roche, Adam Larking and Lee Cogger showed their all round abilities with Cogger even increasing his pace by at least a yard. Apparently he now bowls slightly quicker than Rochey.

Jimmy White continued to scare opposition batsman with his extreme pace and will remain a valuable asset.

Vital contributions throughout the season were made by Nick Page, Ricky 'Fiddler' Dale, Luck Mackay, Josh Hunt and Alex Shaxted.
